7. Our Process

STEP 1

Review the information contained in the digital eBrochure very carefully. If you feel you have the qualifications and resources for either single or multi-unit development, we invite you to complete the Request for Information on this site.

STEP 2

Our franchise development team will review your application. Upon qualifying, an evaluation, personal interview and overview of the Sears Home Appliance Showroom retail franchise will be scheduled. We will discuss your background, business experience and suitability for the unique challenges of owning and operating a Sears Home Appliance Showroom Store. We will request that you visit several of our stores at this time.

STEP 3

We will present you with our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) for review and once you are approved for a location, our development team will guide you through each step of the way. Our dedicated team will be there with you to instruct and offer guidance about the retail franchise opportunity.

STEP 4

Before your store opens, the individual franchisee or business entity's controlling owner will be required to successfully complete a comprehensive two-week initial training program that will familiarize you with operational and managerial procedures. Your training includes classroom time as well as in-store experiences and is conducted by experienced Sears training and operations personnel.

STEP 5

You can begin your market penetration strategy by opening the first of multiple locations or several retail franchise locations at the same time. Either way, our training and supervision continues even after the opening of your business.

STEP 2

Our Franchise Development Team will review your application. Upon qualifying, an evaluation, personal interview and overview of the Sears Appliance & Hardware franchise will be scheduled. We will discuss your background, business experience and suitability for the unique challenges of owning and operating a Sears Appliance & Hardware Store. We will request that you visit several of our stores at this time.

STEP 3

We will present you with our Franchise Disclose Document (FDD) for review. Once you have performed your due diligence and returned the FDD Receipt to Sears, we will approve you for a location and our development team will guide you through each step of the way. Our dedicated team will be there with you to instruct and offer guidance.

STEP 4

Before your store opens, the individual franchisee or business entity's controlling owner will be required to successfully complete a comprehensive four-week initial training program that will familiarize you with operational and managerial procedures. Your training includes classroom as well as in-store experiences and is conducted by experienced Sears training and operations personnel.

STEP 5

Our training and supervision continues even after the opening of your hardware franchise business.

STEP 1

You'll first speak with one of our Franchise Development Specialists to determine if the Sears Auto Center automotive franchise opportunity is right for you.

STEP 2

Complete the Request for Application and provide us with basic contact and background information.

STEP 3

Receive and review the Franchise Disclosure Document and return the FDD Receipt.

STEP 4

Qualified applicants will be invited to attend an informational webinar detailing the Sears Auto Center auto service franchise opportunity and outlining the next steps in the acquisition process.

STEP 5

You'll attend a Discovery Day at our corporate Support Center in Hoffman Estates, IL. There you will meet our Franchise Support Team.

STEP 6

At this time, if both we mutually agree to enter into the franchise relationship, you will pay the initial franchise fee, sign the Franchise Agreement and become a Sears Authorized Independent Auto Center franchisee.
