Steps to Ownership

STEP 1

Review the information carefully. If you are interested in pursuing this opportunity, complete the Request for Information form.

STEP 2

Our team will review your application. Upon qualifying, an evaluation, personal interview and overview of the program will be scheduled. We will discuss your background, business experience and suitability for the unique challenges of owning and operating a Sears Hometown Store. We will request that you visit a store at this time.

STEP 3

Once you are awarded a market, our Development Team will guide you each step of the way. From site selection, lease negotiation and construction through the fixturing and merchandising of your store, our dedicated team will be there with you to instruct you and offer guidance.

STEP 4

Before your store opens, you will complete a comprehensive training program that will familiarize you with operational and managerial procedures. Training includes classroom as well as in-store experiences.

STEP 5

You'll spend up to two weeks getting comfortable with the daily operations of your store while your Store Support Team sets in motion advertising and promotions for your Grand Opening celebration!
